Comment(s): According to “Gordon’s Photography Prices” the auction record for a silver print of this scarce/rare image is $305,000 realized at Phillips, New York, 10/8/2015, lot #17. Arbus’s direct, confrontational approach to photography meant that her subjects did not always like their portraits.
