Artist: Charles Schulz (American, 1922-2000). Title: "Charlie, Linus, and Snoopy". Medium: Marker drawing on paper. Date: Composed c1983. Dimensions: Overall size: 9 3/16 x 11 1/8 in. (233 x 283 mm). Lot Note(s): Signed lower right. Drawn on medum weight light cream wove paper. Very good to fine condition; slight fading lower and bottom edges; a few very small creases, else fine. Comment(s): Schulz, the creator and artist of "Peanuts," became wealthy by using his childhood insecurities and failures as material for his comic strip. Charlie Brown, the strip's likable loser, shared more than a first name with his creator and was inspired by Schulz's bittersweet memories of his Midwestern boyhood.
