Lot Note(s): Signed upper left; dated upper right. Drawn on cream wove paper. Condition: the verso of the work is in fine condition with no apparent defects. It is very fresh and vibrant and the colors true and sharp. The verso exhibits overall discoloration and a red (oil paint?) line in the center of the sheet. Neither the discoloration nor the red line telegraphs through to the recto. Overall the work does not exhibit any tears, creasing, soiling, repairs, prior framing/matting, glue remnants, tape remnants, color attenuation, holes, folds, stains, marker or ink marks. It presents extremely well. Zusmanas Gurvicius, a key figure in the Constructivism art movement, was born in Lithuania to Jewish parents. Moving to Uruguay, he was enrolled in elementary school under the name of José Gurvich.
