Tomlinson was a resident of Provincetown, a New England town located at the extreme tip of Cape Cod in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. It is famed for its "White Line Color Woodcut" artists, of whom she was one. She actively created prints there from at least the early 1950s to the mid 1970s.
