Comment(s): In 2007 Aguinaco was commissioned to photograph the recent discovery of Frida Kahlo's dresses for a book titled “El Roperro de Frida” (Frida’s Wardrobe). While at her home, La Casa Azul, he discovered many off limits rooms which had never been seen by the public. He took this photograph with a pinhole camera. This room has not yet been opened to the public. Aguinaco is best known for his strong and expressionist color work. His monochrome photographs are rarely seen. He has exhibited widely in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. Aguinaco’s work has appeared in a number of books and publications, including “Frida’s Wardrobe,” “El Color del Tiempo” and “Color Magazine” (the cover of the March, 2010issue).
