Works by Muyaes, a noted Mexican painter and sculptor, rarely appear on the market. Born in Chile, he moved to Mexico City as a young man and became an integral part of the intellectual circle there (e.g., he was intimately acquainted with the great poet Pablo Neruda during Neruda's Mexico years).
